Hastings seafront on Flickr.Platos cafe in Hastings. Despite looking rather grim and bleak, I would rather eat here than any junk food or fast food place. Full of character.

Not just anybody on Flickr.Sprayed image on the side of a burger van in Camden. Well actually, I don’t know if it was selling burgers or not - some kind of eaterie.
People tell me I take things to heart too easily, but I still feel really hurt. I wish I could get over that hurt and move on. Every time I feel like I’m making progress and starting to forget, or not care, something else crops up.
I should go away and take some advice from The Who.

People who are close to me know that I said I’d never ‘do’ Flickr again.  I became completely disillusioned for one reason or another.  Thought I’d abandon the whole idea.

But instead of doing that, I decided to start it again - this time reflecting on the stuff I actually really want to photograph, rather than a load of tat.  Loads of emails full of advice and support.  Been like a revelation this week.

Soho on Flickr.Soho is looking good these days.
It was the girl with the pink bag that initially caught my eye - then I realised the whole scene with the two guys chatting, the grotty drainpipe, colourless windows and CCTV that probably isn’t working.
